Having a baby is one of the most exciting things that can happen to a couple, but you might be feeling nervous as well, there are some health tips to help & guide you
Before you get pregnant
- Eat a balanced diet
- Maintain a healthy weight BMI around 23
- Regular Exercise like walking
- Let medical advice if in case you are on any medications for long time / some chronic illness
- Take tablet folic acid 5mg daily which is much needed for baby’s nervous system development
- Get medical advices if you are not able to conceive even after 1 year of regular, unprotected intercourse
- Check for urine pregnancy test in case of missed periods. If positive get a Best gynaecologist consultation
WHAT IS NORMAL IN FIRST 3 MONTHS OF PREGNANCY
- It’s ok to have morning sickness [Vomiting Sensation] or even 1-2 episodes of vomiting per day
- Have aversion on certain food items/ certain food smell
- Feeling tired
- Have mild breast tenderness/engorgement
- Have mild whitish discharge per vagina
- Have vague lower abdomen discomfort
- Have increased frequency of urination
- Have constipation
Consult your Doctor immediately if you have danger signs like
- Bleeding per vagina/ spotting per vagina
- Repeated vomiting to the extent that you have lost >10% of body weight
- Fever with chills & rigors
- Burning micturition
- Lower abdomen pain with bleeding
